Joya De Nicaragua, established in 1968, is recognized as the first and most authentic premium handmade cigar manufacturer from Nicaragua. With cigars sold in more than 60 countries, the company’s commitment to quality and innovation has earned it industry recognition.

The Collaborative Project

HumidifGroup and Joya De Nicaragua collaborated to create the Antaño Power Play Sling Puck game, aiming to provide cigar enthusiasts with a one-of-a-kind experience, creating “JDN Moments” that go beyond traditional cigar smoking.

Product Description

The centerpiece of the project is a meticulously crafted custom wooden box developed by Cigar Box
Factory Esteli, Nicaragua. The 20-count cigar box accommodates ten Antaño Gran Reserva GT20 6×54 Gran Toro and ten Antaño CT Toro 6×50 cigars. The exterior of the box features a personalized design, with two unique tones representing the respective cigar lines.

The box’s red side features an NFC tag powered by the innovative HGTag platform, enabling players to transport their experience into the digital realm by simply placing their smartphone near the tag. The interior of the box contains removable solid wood pieces to hold each row of cigars, and a custom EVA foam insert keeps the cigars secure. Additionally, the foam insert contains personalized accessories necessary to play the Sling Puck game.

The Sling Puck Game

The accompanying Sling Puck game adds a new dimension of entertainment to the cigar-smoking experience. Players can choose their teams and compete to sling all five pucks through the goal and to the opposite side. The game enhances social interactions and adds a playful element to cigar aficionados’ gatherings.

The Digital Component

Joya De Nicaragua incorporated a digital component powered by the HGTag Platform. By tapping the red Joya logo outside the box, users can share their “JDN Moment” on social media, engaging with Joya De Nicaragua’s vibrant community. The digital experience includes product authentication, age verification, product description, social media engagement, and a captivating video experience.

Reception and Impact

The Antaño Power Play Sling Puck game was presented at the Premium Cigar Association 2023 event in Las Vegas, NV, where it received phenomenal acceptance. Cigar enthusiasts and industry professionals appreciated the innovative presentation of well-known cigars combined with the interactive gaming experience.
